One of the main goals of this team is to reenact the german special foreces unite: KSK - the Kommando SpezialKräfte.
The KSK was established in 1996 and was activated on April 1, 1997, to face the new threats emerging after the end of the Cold War. Before that, (West) Germany had placed little emphasis on Special Forces, just relying on the special police counter-terrorism unit GSG 9. At the time, the only units comparable to commandos were at each of the three German Corps the Fernspäher companies (a long range reconnaissance unit - LRS) and now partly merged into the KSK.
Despite being a military unite the KSK can operate in hostage rescue situations, and in quick response operations, as it is based in the SAS - Special Air Service, methods and trainning.

We (Ghosts Airsoft Team) think that airsoft is a MILSIM (Millitary Simulation) game. As so we belive that the main purpose of playing such a game, is to develop team-spirit, friendship, healthy competition and above all to develop self-respect, respect for everyone and for the environment.
The use of low and real-capacity magazines, german issue gear, and in a short future of BBB's, biodigradable bb's, are a few rules we've aplied to improve the quality of our airsoft events. But we also know that MILSIM is not by using real deal gear, or using real-cap's, but it's in the mentality of players and event organizations.
